FREE PARKING is available in the factory parking lot near the Bloomsburg Fairground Navigate to Pro Real Estate Services at 420 W. 5th St., Bloomsburg and then turn left into the large factory parking lot just AFTER Pro Real Estate Services and drive to the other end of the lot. Then walk past the white trailers to the red tent near the train tracks.

The North Pole Express is a family tradition in Bloomsburg held annually during Thanksgiving weekend.

 

Enjoy a 1-hour train ride from Bloomsburg to Catawissa with holiday stories, carols, and characters. 

These rides are brought to you by Downtown Bloomsburg, Inc. and the Bloomsburg Public Library in partnership with the North Shore Railroad Company & Affiliates and the SEDA-COG Joint Rail Authority

WHAT IS THE COST?   Tickets are $10 for children ages 12 and under and $15 for adults. Fees are not included in these prices. Tickets are non-refundable.

DO CHILDREN PAY FOR A TICKET?  Everyone 12 months old or older. Children under 1 that can sit on an adult's lap are FREE!

WHERE DOES THE TRAIN DEPART FROM?  All trains depart from 480 West 5th Street, Bloomsburg, PA 17815. Signs will direct you to parking lot.

WHERE CAN I PARK?  FREE parking is available at 420 West 5th Street - in the Autoneum parking lot across from the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds - signs will direct you to parking lot.

ARE THE TRAIN CARS HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE?  No

WHERE DOES THE TRAIN TRAVEL?  The train departs from  Bloomsburg and travels west, towards Danville, for approximately two miles past the Rupert Covered Bridge. It follows the same route on its return trip to Bloomsburg.

​CAN FOOD & BEVERAGE BE BROUGHT ON TRAIN?  No, all food and beverages must be discarded prior to boarding. 

WHAT ACTIVITIES OCCUR ON THE TRAIN? Christmas Music plays and a Christmas story will be read by one of Santa’s helpers. On the return trip Santa makes an appearance and greets children of all ages on board the train.

ARE PHOTOS PERMISSIBLE ON THE TRAIN?  Yes!
