Renaissance Jamboree


Celebrate the arrival of Spring in Downtown Bloomsburg! The annual street festival includes hundreds of arts and crafts vendors showing off their variety of wares. Area non-profit organizations provide great food, games and information. Entertainment for both children and adults abound with live music throughout the day, performances from dance groups and martial artists, jugglers, magicians, and much more! Free parking with shuttle service is provided. 


August, 2020

The thirteenth annual ArtFest will take place in late August, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Town Square from the fountain up Market Street to Ridge Avenue. There will be artists exhibiting and non-profit organizations taking part, along with regional musical acts and food trucks. 

Halloween Window Painting

October, 2020

Area middle and high school students continue the Halloween tradition of painting scenes on the windows of Main Street businesses in mid-October. Stroll through the downtown and pick your favorites.

WHLM Parade of Lights

Friday, November 29, 2019

Welcome Santa to Town the day after Thanksgiving with dozens of floats decorated with holiday lights and playing music. The parade starts at 6 p.m. along Lightstreet Road, moves down Main Street to the Square, then down Market Street to 5th Street, then to the 5th Street entrance of the Fairgrounds. Contact WHLM radio at 570-784-1200 for information on entering a float.

North Pole Express

November 28 & 29, 2020

The North Pole Express, sponsored by Service 1st Federal Credit Union, is a family tradition in Bloomsburg. Enjoy a 1-hour train ride from Bloomsburg to Catawissa with holiday stories and characters. The train loads and unloads at the Sherwin Williams store at 7th & Market Street.

DBI, Inc., partners with the North Shore Railroad, Penn Valley Railroad, LLC, and the SEDA-COG Joint Rail Authority to bring your these wonderful train rides.

WHAT IS THE COST?  Tickets are $12.00. ($14.36 with fees) Tickets are non-refundable.


DO CHILDREN PAY FOR A TICKET?  Everyone 12 months old or older. Children under 1 that can sit on an adult's lap are FREE!


WHERE DOES THE TRAIN DEPART FROM? All trains depart from Sherwin Williams parking lot at 607 Market Street in Bloomsburg, PA


WHERE CAN I PARK? FREE parking is available at the Bloomsburg YMCA (30 East 7th Street). Along with street parking. NO parking in Sherwin Williams parking lot. Arrive approximately 30 minutes before your scheduled train ride. 


ARE THE TRAIN CARS HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE? No, but train staff will make every attempt to assist boarding those individuals with walking difficulties.


WHERE DOES THE TRAIN TRAVEL? The train departs from Sherwin Williams in Bloomsburg and travels west, towards Danville, for approximately two miles past the Rupert Covered Bridge. It follows the same route on its return trip to Bloomsburg.


CAN FOOD & BEVERAGE BE BROUGHT ON TRAIN? No, all food and beverages must be discarded prior to boarding. 


WHAT ACTIVITIES OCCUR ON THE TRAIN? Christmas Carols will be sung and "The Polar Express" will be read by one of Santa’s helpers. On the return trip Santa makes an appearance and greets children of all ages on board the train. 


ARE PHOTOS PERMISSABLE ON THE TRAIN? Yes, but remember Santa must visit with every good little boy and girl. Weather permitting, there will also be time for photos after the ride. 


CAN YOU RENT THE CABOOSE? Yes, the cost is $300.00 and seats 15 passengers.   The caboose is limited to one group per train ride.
