The North Pole Express is a family tradition in Bloomsburg held annually during Thanksgiving weekend. Enjoy a 1-hour train ride from

Bloomsburg to Catawissa with holiday stories, carols, and characters. 

To help keep these rides affordable for families, we are offering reduced price tickets for children ages 12 and under - only $10.

YOUR RECEIPT IS YOUR TICKET(S).  

WHAT IS THE COST?  Tickets are $10.00 for children ages 12 and under and $15 for adults. ($14.36 with fees) Tickets are non-refundable.

DO CHILDREN PAY FOR A TICKET?  Everyone 12 months old or older. Children under 1 that can sit on an adult's lap are FREE!

WHERE DOES THE TRAIN DEPART FROM? All trains depart from 480 West 5th Street, Bloomsburg. Signs will direct you to parking.

WHERE CAN I PARK? FREE parking is available at the site.  Volunteers will direct you to parking.  Arrive approximately 30 minutes before your scheduled train ride. 

ARE THE TRAIN CARS HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE? No.

WHERE DOES THE TRAIN TRAVEL? The train departs from  Bloomsburg and travels west, towards Danville, for approximately two miles past the Rupert Covered Bridge. It follows the same route on its return trip to Bloomsburg.

CAN FOOD & BEVERAGE BE BROUGHT ON TRAIN? No, all food and beverages must be discarded prior to boarding. 

WHAT ACTIVITIES OCCUR ON THE TRAIN? Christmas Carols will be sung and a Christmas story will be read by one of Santa’s helpers. On the return trip Santa makes an appearance and greets children of all ages on board the train.

 

ARE PHOTOS PERMISSIBLE ON THE TRAIN? Yes, but remember Santa must visit with every good little boy and girl. Weather permitting, there will also be time for photos after the ride.
